Flatfoot is a deformity in which one’s arch is partially or totally collapsed. Symptoms include pain, discomfort, or tightness in the Achilles tendon and a simple X-Ray can help identify and diagnose flatfoot.
Flatfoot is commonly developed during childhood from the arches in your feet not forming and can follow into adulthood. Preventative measures of flatfeet include proper shoe gear, frequently updating shoes and limiting excessive standing, walking, and activity on harder surfaces.
Treatment of flatfeet includes wearing supportive shoes and orthotic devices, stretching, anti-inflammatory medication, and rest.
