Plantar Fasciitis is a condition where the bottom of your foot becomes inflamed and painful for your heels.
This condition is usually caused by putting too much strain on the ligament of the sole of your foot, which in turn causes heel pain. Wearing proper shoes, maintaining a healthy weight, and stretching your Achilles are good preventatives for Plantar Fasciitis.
Treatment for Plantar Fasciitis is generally through conservative means and may include shoe gear modifications, custom-molded orthotics, stretching and icing, antiinflammatory medication, bracing, or a cortisone injection in more severe cases. Long-term treatment includes wearing supportive shoes, stretching, and using custom orthotic devices.
